Mastering the Art of Streaming Meta Quest 3 to Your Television

Due to the exclusive nature of the VR experience for a single user, those around you may feel excluded while you are immersed in your VR headset. Fortunately, you have the option to project your Meta Quest 3 (or Quest 2 or Quest Pro) onto other devices, such as Chromecast-enabled televisions, allowing your friends or family to join in and witness your gaming, video content, and more alongside you.

How to project Meta Quest 3 onto a TV

Prior to initiating the projection process, ensure that you have downloaded the Meta Quest app on your phone and are logged into your Meta account. Additionally, make sure that your Quest 3, phone, and television are all connected to the same Wi-Fi network; otherwise, you will be unable to project to those additional devices. Once everything is set up, follow the instructions below to start projecting your Quest 3 onto a television.

Step 1: Power on your Quest 3 and wait for the main menu to load.

Step 2: Once you are on the main menu, select Camera from the bottom bar on the screen.

Step 3: Choose Cast from the menu that appears next.

Step 4: A list of devices will appear next. Select the television (or Chromecast) that you wish to project to and wait momentarily for the projection to begin. If your television is not visible in the list, it means either it is not compatible or it is not connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

After following these steps, you should observe the chosen television displaying what you see in your headset, allowing others to join in and watch with you. Just a reminder, personal content may be visible during this process, so be cautious of any private information that you do not want others to see.

Step 5: To end the projection, return to the Camera menu, select Cast again, and finally, choose Stop casting.
